Asus hasn’t launched the Eee PC 1005HA in the US yet, but Beach Camera is already taking pre-orders for the netbook for $349. I’m not aware of any official word on pricing for this model yet, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that price is subject to change once the netbook actually becomes available. But if you’re willing to take your chances, and hoping to be one of the first people in the US to get your hands on this netbook, you can get your orders in now.

The Eee PC 1005HA looks is a slightly thicker and heavier version of the Eee PC 1008HA, which is currently available for about $417. Unlike the 1008HA, the 1005HA has a user removable battery and a full sized VGA port. The Eee PC 1005HA has a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1G of RAM, and a 160GB hard drive. It weighs 2.4 pounds.
