I'd rather make a Windows-Ubuntu/whatever dual boot instead of this, or why not leave some blank space in disk for installing our prefered linux distro?

They might as well say it runs Windows with small print “and also Android”. Acer sure did take advantage of all the press it received from releasing a netbook with Android, only to slide Windows on the machine at the last minute. I just can't see running Android as a primary OS at this point in time, but that doesn't mean I want to pay the Windows tax either just because its “familiar”.

If Android boots quickly, why not? (if all you are going to do is e-mail/surf the web) The option of booting Windows might make it MORE likely for people to try Android.
