Sure, there’s a rumor going around that Acer will soon phase out the recently introduced 11.6 inch Aspire One 751 to make room for a similarly sized, but higher priced Timeline notebook. But it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen right away, at least not in the US. Because Laptop magazine has received confirmation from Acer that the company will be bringing the Aspire One 751 to the US within the next few weeks.
The laptop will be available at Amazon, Target, Staples, Radio Shack, Walmart, J&R, and several other retailers. The Aspire One 751 has an 11.6 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel display and a 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z520 CPU, 1GB of RAM, and a 160GB hard drive. It typically ships with either a 3 cell or 6 cell battery.
