MSI Wind U200 in pictures

The MSI Wind U200 is a 12 inch laptop with a CULV processor, a 1366 x 768 pixel display, and Windows Vista. In other words, it shares very little in common with most netbooks on the market, aside from the fact that it’s part of MSI’s Wind family and it weighs just 3.1 pounds. But I still kind of want to get my hands on one.

The laptop was first announced a few days ago. And now Johannes from NewGadgets.de has posted an series of photos showing off the notebook from all angles. You can see that the laptop has a SIM card slot for optional 3G connections. And Johannes snapped a few photos of the computer with its rear access panel removed so you can see how easy it should be to replace or upgrade the RAM, hard drive, and a few other components.

This thing has piqued my interest. Though, I have to wonder about the size.

Is that two RAM slots? If so, this thing could, theoretically, run Vista quite well.

  • Nate

Yep. I'm certain of it. There are two, stacked, RAM slots.

This is a very interesting little computer. I wish we knew more about it.

Looks like it has the exact same battery as the u100, 120, 123. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing, pretty sure battery life would be pretty terrible with the 3 cell…
