There's a version of Ubuntu 8.04 customized for the Mini 2133 called Minbuntu:

http://forums.mininoteuser.com/viewtopic.php?f=...

But you can probably find out more about how to make Ubuntu 8.10 or
9.04 work in the Ubuntu forums. If you do decide to install Windows
XP, it does run *much* better than Vista on the Mini-Note. You can
find my installation instructions here:

http://www.liliputing.com/2008/04/install-windo...

Hi Brad,
Quick question please. I told my mate to buy a second hand HP 2133 cos it was good value for money. It came with vista on it and that is unbearably slow! I was going to get him to install Moblin or Ubuntu Netbook remix but both of them say they don't work on C7-VIA processor netbooks - so what to do? Is it just win xp for him? He doesn't use linux, so was hoping to get him onto an easy to use flavour but that doesn't seem like its gonna happen. Didn't you have a HP mini with netbook remix?
Thanks in advance
