Yet another Eee PC to tablet PC conversion hack

701-tablet-hack

I don’t know what it is about the original Asus Eee PC 701 that makes people want to turn the netbook into a tablet PC. But people keep on coming up with new and different ways to do it. Some of these hacks are more professional than others. One member of the EeeUser forums posted about his expeirences building his own Eee Tablet yesterday. Long story short, the touchscreen is cracked and the hole in the case is kind of rough around the edges – literally.

But all you really need to try this hack is a touch screen, dremel, and a screw driver. And apparently a steady hand.

This is not so much a comment about the Eee 701 as it is about the guy holding it. What the hell is up with that guys thumb? Looks like it was broken in at least two places. Maybe he broke it trying to install the 701 tablet conversion? LOL.

it like to see people doing such things, its funny :-) but such a mod is not practical at all. the screen is too small and whats when you need to type a few words.
or do they have to much money?
