I wonder why they didn't just mix all their paint together and make beige – the perfect colour for such an utterly nondescript computer. The universe itself is on average beige, so it would be in cosmic company.

I was amused by The Register's piece on this, where they wondered how many variations there would be. Well, let's see, choice of:

RAM: 1GB, 1GB or enormous 1GB
HD: 160GB, 160GB or capacious 160GB
Screen: 10.1″ 1024 x 600, 10.1″ 1024 x 600 or super high detailed 10.1″ 1024 x 600

Get the idea?

I followed the posted link, and then clicked on the “design” link (right side) to the flash video -

It has a nice looking keyboard – although not “sealed” – a significant gap under the key caps;
The external of the case is textured – that should deal with “finger print magnet” complaints.

Too bad the internals come from the “one more of the same” NetBook rubber stamp.
