MSI Wind U123 available for pre-order

wind-u123The MSI Wind U123 is the second major netbook from MSI. Like the MSI Wind U100, the new model has 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and a 10 inch display. And both models run Windows XP.

But the U123 has a slightly faster 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU, 802.11n WiFi, and ships with a 6 cell battery standard.

Amazon is now taking pre-orders for the MSI Wind U123. It’s available in either blue or red for about $350.

How do you people “in the know” compare the MSI Wind (either model) with the competition? Does the company back up its warranty without complaint? I assume that serious faults (e.g., a bad display) become evident quickly.
