Acer AspireRevo unboxed

revo-unboxed

The Acer AspireRevo won’t be available to the public for a few more weeks. But the folks at Engadget got their hands on a pre-production version of the first computer to use NVIDIA’s Ion platform, which bundles a low power Intel Atom CPU with an NVIDIA GPU for improved video and graphics performance.

The model Engadget is testing is still a little buggy. The HDMI output needed to be fiddled with before it would work, for example. But you can’t always judge a finished product based on the pre-release versions sent to gadget blogs for review.

Fore more pictures, head on over to Engadget.

Everyone over there seems to be going nuts over Hulu issues…I'll admit to a little bit of trepidation…but maybe I can stream it to the box? Something like tversity..but with support of XBMC?

I'm willing to do a lot to have a box that small attached to the back of my TV.

Also, that esata port. Smart move, I can get a 1TB external with Esata out for less than $100 minus shipping…and for my admittedly meager media usage(Gotta prep for school, doubt I'll be able to follow things like I used to) it's a dream come true. You can bet I'll be watching for reactions to even this early engineering sample quite closely…
