We’re starting to see netbooks with batteries that can run for 8 or 9 hours on a single charge. That means you can take your computer to work with you in the morning, leave it on all day, and still have some juice left when you pack up to go home. Assuming you work 9 to 5, that is.
But what fun is that? Asus has produced a promotional video showing some of the other things you can do with an all-day battery. Like hanging out with ponies and ignoring dogs that come running up to you while you finish a game of Tetris (or something).
It’s a cute, if somewhat odd little video. But it makes me wonder – what would/do you do with 8 hours of computing power? Watch movies on an airplane? Take your computer on a camping trip? Work from coffee shops? Or plot world domination from the back of a moving vehicle for hours at a stretch?
