gigabyte-touch-noteIt looks like the three new netbooks Gigabyte announced earlier this month could be hitting stores soon. Mobilx is showing an April 30th launch date for the Gigabyte T1028M TouchNote and the Gigabyte M1022 Booktop computers. The listing for the Gigabyte S1024 ThinNote just says “coming soon.”

The TouchNote has a touchscreen display that can be folded down over the keyboard for use in tablet mode. Mobilx is charging €477.63 or €573.16 including VAT for this one, which is about $646 or $775 respectively.

The Booktop comes with a special dock that you can stow the netbook in while plugging in a keyboard and monitor as if it were a desktop computer. This model will go for €440.34 excluding VAT or €528.41 with it, which is $595 or $741. The ThinNote is a thin and light netbook that will sell for the same price as the Booktop.

  1. They are obviously working hard at hitting the major “consumer interest” features – –
Now if they would work on the “price point” just a bit –
I would like to see a few of the “rough edges” knocked off that $$$ price. 😉

  2. Well, $646 or $775 for a Notetouch is a bit steep especially when you look at the overall design. The unit looks very fat and the mouse-pad has those side buttons we all dislike. Okay, it does have a touch screen and that is uber, but I would have liked $550 as a price point. Then again who’s to say what the price would be if it came here you can’t always compute BP/Euro to American dollars so cleanly with thinking about VAT and such European oddities.
