acer-aspire-one-d250Acer has launched a UK product page for the Acer Aspire One D250, which appears to be the first 10 inch model in the company’s Aspire One Pro line. The netbook packs a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 160GB hard drive, 802.11b/g WiFi, Ethernet, and 3G wireless with support for HSDPA, HSUPA, and UMTS networks. It runs Windows XP.

It looks like the netbook will be available with either a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 or a 1.68GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU, and either the Intel 945GSE chipset or the Intel 82801GBM chipset.

The Aspire One D250 measure 10.2″ x 7.2″ x 1 inches. The notebook supports up to 2GB of RAM, and comes comes with a 3 or 6 cell battery. Interestinly, there appear to be two different 6 cell battery options. One is a 48.8Whr 4400mAh battery that will provide up to 6 hours of run time, while the other is a 57.7Whr 5200mAh battery that should be good for up to 7.5 hours. The 3 cell battery is a 24.4 Whr 2200mAh battery that Acer says is good for up to 3 hours and 15 minutes.

With a 3 cell battery the laptop weighs 2.4 pounds. The 6 cell version will weigh 2.8 pounds.

“The 3 cell battery is a 24.4 Whr 2200mAh battery that Asus says is good for up to 3 hours and 15 minutes”

    Should be “Acer”, not “Asus”.

The link is not working for me. Anyway, 2 different models are coming, the D250 and the 531, the latter has a new product page on the German Acer site:
    http://www.acer.de/acer/seu4e.do?LanguageISOCtx…

I would prefer the 531, it costs only 20 euros more, but the new case is looking way better than the original D150. It is also lighter (1.15 kg vs 1.33 kg).
