Obviously you don’t have one with NVIDIA 2! Because it does stream 1080p 60Hz perfectly.
And the CPU remains almost idle, all the job is done by the GPU!
If you do have one, check that you have the proper drivers and configuration. Particularly the DXVA2 support enabled in your media player. Latest VLC, XBMC and even Windows Media Player have support for it…. even XBMC under Linux.

I like to have my SHE icon in my system tray, but one day it up
and vanished. I checked the notification area icons and it is not
displayed (not in the list not anywhere). I found the program
(C:/Program Files/Eee PC/…) and ran it and it is still not there. I
can access it through the hot key, but I want it to show up in my system
trey (notification area) again, so I can keep a constant eye on what
mode the computer is in (since if I don’t, it changes it whenever I
switch around power, and then I don’t know it until I cycle through them
again. I also tend to change it).The OS is Windows 7 Starter.

ASUS probably left this out because they realized an atom can never stream HD video. With proper optimalisation, you could perhaps strea, simple 480p youtube videos, but there’s no way you could ever stream 720p or above at more than 3fps

Can you tell me where you got a 64 bit version of Super Hyrbrid Engine? I have a T101MT and I can only find the 32 bit version, so it won’t work now that I’ve installed 64 bit Win 7 Home Premium.

Hmm, that could explain at least in part why my 1001p machine stutters on Netflix streaming video. My computer should be more than capable of handling at least 480P steaming hi-def with a strong internet connection. Nice to see Asus will continue to support their products however. Hopefully.

Install the Super Hybrid Engine software from the Asus Support site. Mine came with my Asus 1005PE. If this is your model then it should be pre-installed. Look in the bottom right hand corner of the taskbar next to the clock for the icon. You right click on it and choose your mode from the menu. I was able to watch full 480P Hulu on this netbook. Something I have not been able to do with any other netbook. I also chose to upgrade to 2GB of RAM and install a 64 bit Version of Windows 7 Professional. Windows 7 Starter 32bit is a dog.
