Sony is shooting themselves in the foot here and trying to make sure they keep their "premium" name. You can get a Macbook Air for $999, or get an MSI Wind for $329 - either way Sony is going to clearance these things in 6-12 months.

Having GPS, bluetooth, and integrated wireless is cool but not for the $400 premium their charging AND it has Vista!

No matter how cool it may be, Sony is just plain retarded as far as I'm concerned. This should come with XP. I would never pay a dime for anything that comes with Vista. For about $650, I got the Everun Note with 2 batteries...that's with an AMD 1.2 GHz dual-core Turion 2x64. Sony wants way more money and isn't willing to deliver the power. They've been so out of touch with the public for a while now.

I absolutely love the form factor. I'm typing here from my Aspire One wishing it had that shape. I hate touchpads, so I say good riddance to that.

Man I can't say a 8.9" screen in a 16x9 ration is a great idea. All that means is you have a lot less screen to look at than any other 8.9" screen and way too much resolution on even less screen.

What I do like is 1.5 lbs. Damn that is light. And the PSP like instant-on is very nice because accessing photos, video, or music or launch a web browser without loading Windows Vista is awesome.

What would bother me is typing without a palm rest.

@ Jim

I thought it was predictable of Sony, particularly when they didn't even want to get into this market anyways. I'm waiting for Apple to re-engineer this strategy when they release a netbook.

I really like this netbook.. But is grossly over priced and underpowered. This is not going to put Sony in the netbook arena. They completely miss the market on this one.
