Samsung NC10 extended batteries available on eBay

9-cell-nc10-battery

The Samsung NC10 netbook already gets better battery life than most other mini-laptops on the market, thanks to a 6 cell battery and excellent power management features. But if 7 hours of run time isn’t enough for you, an eBay seller in Hong Kong is selling 9 cell, 7800mAh batteries for the Samsung NC10.

The extended battery will set you back about $100, but at least in theory it should provide around 10 hours of run time.

0 hours of runtime for a mere $100?

    Sounds like steal!

    ;)

My Sammy gets >7 hours of battery life already. I can't believe how long it lasts. Spend another $100 for about 3 more hours? No thanks. I can't see many people buying this battery.

or you could look at it as $100 for 17 hours… you know for those really long flights… :)

17 hour flight? Just shoot me first.

I'm holding out for the NC20 – hope this same manufacturer has 7800 mAh batteries for it.

Interesting post. Batteries can be totally reliable or unreliable. Its a matter of getting the correct brand. Especially for aa lithum battery, important to get long lasting ones.

Just remember “Caveat Emptor”. I would be inclined to look around for buyers comments on batteries like this from Hong Kong. I would suspect they aren't as good as they appear to be, so somebody who actually benchmarked their battery life before and after would be a good test.

I bought one of these in Aug 09 but am not yet convinced how good it is yet. Sometimes it shows 9 hrs, but after 2-3 hrs it quickly dies. Only had it a short time so I might not have charged it up properly. at present sceptic. Any advise on how to properly charge it / and then test it. Do I test it simply powered on or with WiFi on, and with Bluetooth on, and with photo slide show running, etc i.e heavy drawdown use??
