Pink Asus Eee PC S101 unboxed

pink-s101

That pink Eee PC S101 mini-laptop Asus launched in Japan last month is now shipping. PixieStash picked one up and posted a few up close and personal shots with the new netbook.

The laptop is actually a combination of black, pink and silver. The paint job looks very professional, and has a nice shine to it. And even the wrist area and touchpad have a brushed metal pink finish to them.

You're right – many netbook manufacturers are making a pink model these days, and there's the pink/red floral Vivienne Tam version of the HP 1000. I believe that the target market is geeky girls like me, who love serious technology but want something more than boring black. Pink gadgets make me smile, and I know I'm not alone.
