Asus isn’t the only company that’s decided it’s time to try slapping a DVD drive into a netbook. Japan’s Mouse Computers has announed the LB-F1500 netbook, which features a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, a 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, and a DVD Super Multi Drive.
The mini-laptop comes with Windows XP, inclues 802.11b/g support, and reportedly gets up to 5.2 hours of battery life. The DVD drive can handle a wide array of DVD-R and DVD-RW media and has a maximum write speed of 8X. The LB-F1500 will retail for 64,800 yen or about $726 US.
