More pricing, release date info for the Acer Aspire One 10 inch

PC Corner in the Philippines may be charging about $550 for Acer’s upcoming 10 inch netbook, but Engadget reports that the Acer Aspire One D150 (if that is its real name) will sell for just 329 Euros or about $425 US in France starting in February. That model comes with a 3 cell battery, but you should also be able to pick up a version with a 6 cell battery for up to 7 hours of continuous use for just 349 Euros or about $450.

Both of those models will reportedly ship with the Intel Atom N270 CPU that we’ve come to know and love over the past half year or so. But according to Engadget, Acer will also be selling a higher end model in March with an Intel Atom N280 CPU, a GN40 chipset, and integrated 3G wireless. That model, which appears to be the version that PC Corner is taking preorders for, will sell for 449 Euros or about $575. But I’m guessing that the integrated 3G modem mans that we may see some European cellphone carriers like T-Mobile or  Vodafone subsidizing the cost of this netbook when you order it with a long term service plan.

Will the GN40 model come with HDMI out? If so then it is looking mighty sweet. Though I shouldn't get my hopes up here in Canada, you know they are going to force that damn bilingual keyboard on us…
