Want a Dell Inspiron Mini 9 with a 64GB solid state disk? Dell has added the option to configure a system with a high capacity SSD for $150, but here’s the catch: It’s only available on Ubuntu Linux models at the moment.
When you go to configure a Windows XP model, the highest you can go is 16GB. You can also select up to 2GB of RAM for the Linux version of the netbook, while the Windows XP model maxes out at 1GB.
The Dell Inspiron Mini 9 features an 8.9 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display and a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor.
Update: Dell has discontinued this netbook, but continues to offer a line of 10 inch mini-laptops. Most of these models come with hard drives instead of solid state disks.
