Hate to burst your bubble but I have to 8.9 inch Ones and they both came with 6 cell batter. The 10 inch is not the only Acer one with the 6 cell battery.

Same here, I'd be happy with 1024X768, the 600 pixel height is about the only complaint I have with netbooks.

Agreed. Within reason, I don't care about the physical dimensions of the screen. I do care that some windows won't fit within the 600 pixel height. I want more pixels, not bigger ones.

These look pretty neat! It's nice to have a large screen like that! I like to use my laptop to load all my photos on and then download them straight to my digital photo frame and this one seems perfect for that! I have soooooo many pictures so it better have a lot of storage space!!

I find it odd that the announcement speaks about Windows XP, but doesn't mention an option of Linux. One of the things that made the original Aspire One (as well as the Asus eee) so interesting is the fact that it came with Linux, allowing the smart consumer to skip the micro$oft tax and have an operating system that is well suited to the tiny computer. I can only hope that omitting the mention of Linux doesn't mean that Acer will stop offering it.

The original Aspire One has one of the brightest, clearest screens I've seen on a netbook. So many netbook screens look horribly washed out. I hope the quality of the screen on the new 10" Aspire One is similar to the original.

To me, resolution is all.
What use is a bigger screen if there are the same number of pixels ?

Of course, the 6 cell battery is a plus, but I don't see any other advantages.
