Having this much battery life has opened up my using it all sorts of ways I've not done before with either my 12 inch Powerbook G4 (about 2.5 hours of battery on a new one) or my low-end 15 inch Toshiba (not much more than an hour), which the Acer was bought to replace. Both battery life and portability were factors in deciding to get the netbook, but I had no idea how much I'd use it (and where) when I did.
