You know, I could have sworn I’d already seen some pictures of a dissected HP Mini 1000 netbook, but looking through the archives, it looks like this netbook has been available for more than a month and nobody’s posted a good series of pictures of the machine with its top off… until now. Mobile computer hacker jkkmobile recently picked up an HP Mini 1000 and carefully documented the process of disassembling the computer.

For more high resolution images of the chassis, motherboard, SSD and other components, check out the original article.

The HP Mini 1000 features an 8.9 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 512MB of RAM, and an 8GB solid state disk. It runs Windows XP and weighs just over 2.2 pounds.
