While netbook screens are already so short that they require way too much vertical scrolling, I think you're right about the 24 pixels being negligible. By by calculations, they would amount to only about a quarter of an inch.

I can't find the s10e on Lenovo's US site. Apparently they don't want us to have them. Same for 6-cell batteries. If you happen to come back this way, I would like to know if you have a 6-cell battery and, if so, what the run time is with it.

Also, is the new s10e screen readable outside in the shade (it's supposed to be glossier than the original s10 screen)?

And, out of curiosity, have you tried ubuntu linux on it?

Thanks,
Doug

My Lenovo s10e also has a 16:9 aspect screen with 1024x576 resolution, can't say that I miss those 24 pixels.

The extra mini PCI-e slot is the only thing that sets the BenQ apart from the rest. Would be nice to have, but as the Lenovo has a PC card slot I'm still a happy camper.

I find it hard to believe that the BenQ is more sturdier than the Lenovo, but I might be proved wrong... the Lenovo is considered to be the best "tank" out there as of today.

Can you notice that I'm extremely happy with my s10e.... *lol*
