It’s been a little while since a company I’d never heard of released an MSI Wind U100 clone. It used to happen nearly every week. But with the MSI Wind U110, 115, and 120 on the horizon, maybe I shouldn’t be surprised that we don’t see good ole U100 clones as often as we used to. Still, Hardware Zone just posted a review of the Axioo PICO DJM 616, which appears to be — you guessed it — an MSI Wind U100 clone from a company I’d never heard of.
Like the original MSI Wind U100, the Axioo PICO DRM 616 has a 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, and a 3 cell battery which is good for between 2.5 and 3 hours of battery life. It also has a 160GB hard drive, 3 USB ports, 802.11b/g WiFi and a 3-in-1 card reader.
The netbook is slated for release in Singapore. No word on whether it will be available internationally or how much it will cost.
