The Asus Eee PC 1002HA is now available at Amazon for $499. The netbook is the company’s follow-up to the popular Eee PC 1000H. Like its predecessor, the 1002HA has a 10.2 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, and runs Windows XP. But it’s thinner, lighter, and has a more attractive brushed metal finish. In fact, the 1002HA looks a lot like the top of the line Asus Eee PC S101, but costs a few hundred bucks less.

Of course, if you can handle a netbook that’s a little thicker and heavier, you can pick up an Asus Eee PC 1000HA from Amazon for $399. It lacks 802.11n and Bluetooth, which the Eee CP 1002HA has. But it also has a more powerful 6600mAh battery, while the 1002HA has a 4400mAh battery.
