If you’re looking for a good deal on a cheap, low profile desktop computer, or nettop, J&R is selling the Eee Box for $270, today only (Amazon affiliate link). The Eee Box has a list price of $350, and typically sells for between $290 and $320.

Like your typical Eee PC netbook, the Eee Box has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU. It also has 1GB of RAM, an 80GB hard drive, and runs Windows XP. The computer has an 802.11b/g/draft-n WiFi adapter, an Ethernet jack, 4 USB ports, and a DVI output. 

The promotion is listed as a “pre-Black Friday” sale. And since there are a few weeks until Thanksgiving, I’m guessing it won’t be the last deal we see before the holidays.
