Cheap case for 8 or 9 inch netbooks

Looking for a cheap case or slipcover for your netbook? DealExtreme has a reversible black and red Neoprene case for $4.99. With free shipping. No, I have no idea how they can afford that either. But I’m not complaining.

The product description says the bag is for 8 or 9 inch Asus Eee PCs, but it should work with any 9 inch netbook. The folks at Ubuntu Mini picked one up for a Dell Inspiron Mini 9 and it seems to fit just fine.

Update: DealExtreme is also offering a 10 inch slipcover for $5.64. thanks Szabs!

What a sweet low price. I jumped on this one. Only got 1 netbook, a ASUS 2G Surf. But I ordered 2. I'm sure the other will come in handy some where along the line.

Got both the )” and 10″ version a week or so ago. Gave away the 9″ one to a friend with a 3 cell aspire one, kept the 10″ for my 6 cell aspire one.

5 bucks and they ship to Canada?

I see a lot of things that say free shipping on the site.
    How can they make money?
Im always weary of giving my card out to unknown sites that have deals taht are too good to be true. I have no problems with the amazon's of the internet but when you click on a sites top sellers section and EVERYTHING there has free shipping, it makes the spidey sense tingle.

The Ubuntu site you linked says that dealextreme sells some shady things as well.
    Anyone know what?
    Organs? Weapons? Oxycontin?

Well, it looks pretty legit. I don't care if they sell organs :) Its cheap. I'm pretty sure they go for the mass quantity just like the giants like tesco, aldi, walmart.

Rob, EVERYTHING on DX has free shipping. I'm guessing shipping out of hong kong isnt very expensive, its an independent city and so the HK post office doesnt really have much work with packages (since its shipped elsewhere) and can do it cheap. I dunno. Either way, DX is legit by all means, have about 70 orders from there. A few times the thing I ordered arrived broken, in all those cases they replaced it withoutquestion and without having to ship back the broken one. Thats better service than i get anywhere else anyways. They sell some stuff thats illegal in cdertain countries, from GPS and GSM jammers to automated license plate covers and crossbows. No problem as long as you stay away from whats illegal in your specific country

Looks identical to these ones being sold on ebay for £3 + £1.50 postage. I might get one for my Samsung NC10 – the sleeve that it came with doesn't look like it offers protection against anything but the lightest of scratches.
