I'm afraid announcing these models by Asus and MSI is a fake.
They don't really want to produce them now or soon, because these would compete with their other current models.

I never thought I'd be interested in this thing, but, with a battery pack, it might just be the thing for moving my bill-paying environment to the kitchen table. Of course you could do this with a laptop, but you might need a bigger screen or not even need the keyboard at all. For example, streaming your favorite sport without the keyboard would take up less space on your workbench or craft table.

And it even comes with a built-in pencil sharpener (photo #6 in the Engadget gallery)… er.. no, I guess that's a stylus silo

My favorite part is the strawberries on top of the cake they're making–they didn't take the stems off…

Anyway, I like this. Seems like a great idea for a kitchen computer. I don't even want to have the keyboard, just a touchscreen version. You leave it up with widgets running about weather and traffic conditions, current news. You can stream radio with it (if it has decent speakers), or watch online video. Look up recipes. Etc.

Needs to be smallish, cheap, and easy to clean. Needs to look good in a kitchen. No wires other than power, so no mouse, no keyboard, Wifi built in. Etc.
