Samsung NC10 drivers, manual, software now available

  • Email

The Samsung NC10 isn’t due out in the US until November. But the company has posted a ton of material on the English language support page. You can find the user manual, plus drivers for Bluetooth, the webcam, chipset, LAN, Sound, touchpad, Graphics, and WLAN.

Samsung has also posted utilities like a battery manager, a network manager, a software update utility, a display manager, and a webcam utility. You can also grab the latest version of the BIOS.

If you’d rather download the drivers, utilities, and user manual in their original Korean, Samsung’s been offering versions in that language since early October.

The user manual, by the way, is a 120MB download. For some reason Samsung thinks it makes sense to deliver a Flash version of the manual than a simple PDF.

Am quite impressed with the user manual contents but await the review of an actual un it supplied to the UK. The end page product specifications sheet raises a number of queries and it will be interesting to see what spec is supplied to the market here.

It's nice to see information and drivers, etc, coming out before the netbook is released instead of trickling out later over a long period of time. They seem to be interested in supporting people who like to learn about and tinker with their devices. I think this is a mark in the + column for Samsung.

Brad, I've found a video on youtube, unfortunately it's in italian and the subtitles are next to nothing but it's still a nice hands-on video about the Samsung NC10. Apparently the guy says the battery lasts only 4h… I wanna cry… No idea about temperature though.

That info has all been there for a good couple of weeks now. The flash manual is a nightmare, literally hundreds of interconnected SWF files in dozens of languages.

Sadly, I couldn't wait any longer and had to pull the plug on my NC10 order today. Ah well – looked like a nice machine, but it just wasn't ready in time for me.

But I would like to see some information and drivers for Linux.
