There are several ISO's including a GNOME version.

I.e. look at ftp://ftp.surfnet.nl/pub/os/Linux/distr/Mandrakelinux/official/iso/2009.0/

Thanks Mark, I'll give that a try. My impulse was to install a few apps I'm
familiar with like Audacity and Gnome-Do. But that sort of defeats the
purpose of trying a new OS, so I'll check out Lancelot!

There is an errata page for Mandriva 2009.0

This page makes mention of the fact that: " the KDE application which handles these (extended) keys, kmilo, is not yet available in a KDE 4 version. "

Do not install Gnome-Do ... it is a mono application. KDE is blissfully free of Mono, so there is no need to corrupt it by installing a Gnome Mono application.

If you would like a better menu and a rough equivalent for Gnome-Do combined, I would suggest adding the "Lancelot Launcher" plasmoid to the task panel, in place of the default one.
