Lenovo offers “employee discount” on IdeaPad S10

  • Email

Lenovo is offering an “employee discount” sale which basically means you can use an eCoupon on certain items including the Lenovo IdeaPad S10 netbook. The coupon brings the price of a black or white Ideapad S10 down to $379.05, which is about $20 off. The red model still costs about $30 more for no good reason.

If you noticed that I mentioned a black model, you’re not imagining things. While the IdeaPad S10 has only been available in white and red up until now, it looks like the black model is finally available. Eventually these three colors will be joined by blue and pink versions.

If it came with a 6 cell battery I would seriously consider it.

Same here. After much soul-searching / hand-wringing, I ordered an Eee earlier this week (see http://slashdot.org/~timothy/journal/215391) , but I think the Lenovo is a much nicer-looking machine. A big reason I went with the Eee is the 6-cell battery that came with the model I ordered; all battery life claims are lies, but I'll take the longest life I can get.

LOL… I agree. If I was a Lenovo employee and all I got was a measly $20 off, I would be pissed!

Maybe you could sneak out parts one at the time and finally build a whole unit for free ;)
