I don't think it is worth the extra money, I wrote my book Learning FreeNAS http://www.packtpub.com/learning-freenas/book on OpenOffice.org, the only problem I had with it was it didn't support inline comments but version 3 does!

Gary

Open Office work very well and are more comptaible with 2007 than MS Office 2K with MS Office 2007. In france many forces of police have switch OOOO and same for Taxe income Agency.

Just 1 case that could have a problem with MS Office files that with complex spreedsheet. But in this case you have the sames problem if you move from MS Office 2K (XP) to MS Office 2007.

Dynamo

OpenOffice 3 handles MS docs as MS docs better than it did in ver 2.... i haven't used it enough to say its "perfect" (since its pretty new) but it's definitely better.
