Yeah all Japanese EEE models have the X in them and are exactly the same as their overseas counterparts, the only difference with Japanese models is the different keyboard layout and no Linux option. It's about time this model arrived here, it's way overdue.

Wow. I don't know how I missed that. I wonder if it's a translation error,
because I just don't see how it's possible to cram an optical drive in a
netbook this size without a MAJOR redesign. Anyone in the house able to read
Japanese and tell us if this is a Google Translate mistake?
