DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM!!! IT MADE MY COMPUTER THINK THAT IT’S BATTERY IS CRITICAL AND EVEN WHEN IT”S PLUGGED IN! IT FUCKED UP MY COMPUTER AND I HAD TO USE MY SYSTEM RESTORE DISK TO FIX THE PROBLEM! FUCK YOU DEVELOPERS!! FUCK YOU!! I LOST ALL OF MY DATA BECAUSE OF YOU!

The article is misinforming when it refers to this application as a controller for fan SPEED. In reality, this app simply allows the user to conrol at what TEMP the fan turns on, but not the RPM. For example, you can't choose to have the fan running very slowly and continuously. You either choose “on” or “off.”

wonder why there is not a fan control of Linpus Lite? I used eeectrl on my 701 and it worked great…please someone write this for all of us noisey AAO owners

It's very very strange that ectl can be used even with the atom processor and a completely new mobo…
What version are you using now? Can you upload a video un youtube? Tnx

I use EeeCtl with a custom .ini on my 1000H. I have control of the fan, brightness and cpu from 990 to 2008MHz.

Wow, that's awesome. How does your Eee PC perform at 990MHz? Notice any
major changes at 2008? And most importantly, do you have a link to the
custom ini or would you be willing to share it? I haven't used eeectl since
giving up my old Eee PC 701, but it's good to hear that it sill works on
newer models.
