Where did Jisus go?

No, I’m not trying to make any sort of religious statements with that headline. Seriously, I’m just wondering what happened to Jisus – the Van Der Led Jisus netbook, that is. After launching three different netbook models, ranging from the $450 base model with a 9 inch display and 4GB of flash memory to the $600 Jisus 3 with a 10 inch display and 80GB hard drive, Van Der Led seems to have given up on the Jisus line.

I was updating the Liliputer database today (more on that in a few days), and I decided to check and see if there was any new information on the Van Der Led website. And I discovered that the Jisus product pages were missing. In fact, there’s no trace of any netbook anywhere on the Van Der Led site. Just a few product listings for light fictures, cellphones, and portable media players.

Anybody have any idea what happened to the Jisus netbooks? Do you know anybody who actually managed to get their hands on one before they disappeared?

Update: As Mumrik points out, you can find a link to a shiny new Jisus V2 web site on Van Der Led’s front page. Why there’s no link to this site from the old product pages I don’t know. Apparently it never occured to the company that someone might bookmark a product page or I don’t know, write about it in a blog post.  Dead links aside, I’m glad to know that Jisus is still alive.
