Samsung releases official netbook images

UK news site What Laptop has posted the first official images of the upcoming Samsung netbook.

As I’ve previously reported, the Samsung netbook is due out in October and will have a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 10 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, and a 6 cell battery. It will cost aorund $550.

There’s not really much more to say about the pictures. There’s two of them, and if you visit What Laptop you can see a nice shot of the keyboard which, if you ask me, looks like one of the bestnetbook keyboards I’ve seen so far. It’s got a nice larger shift key on the right, under which the arrow keys are positioned.

    Based on past performance in the netbook market, maybe we should read this as “around $600 with a 3 cell battery (6 cell models shipping several months later due to a global shortage)”.

    I also thought that this netbook has the things I am looking for;
    6 cell battery, nice looks, good keyboard with a normal right shift and good quality of keyboard and touchpad (still have to see tests next months). Also it has winxp, 10inch and 3 usb ports.

    I may hope that the 6 cells will be launched at around 350/400 euros (550/600 dollar).
    I really want to buy this one in the Netherlands.

    Well, I have to say that these pictures look great. I wonder how does it feel like in hands.
