It’s not as if we didn’t already know that Samsung was developing a netbook. But it’s always nice to get confirmation. And details. Lots and lots of details. Akihabara News reports that Samsung has officially announces its entry into the netbook market: the Samsung NC10.
What sets it apart from every other current generation low cost ultraportabale on the market today? Well, it’s from Samsung. Yeah, that’s about it. Here’s the skinny on the specs:

- CPU: 1.6GHz Intel Atom
- Storage: 80GB to 160GB HDD
- OS: Windows XP Home
- Expansion: 3 USB ports, 3-in-1 card reader, VGA output
- Connectivity: 802.11b/g WiFi, Ethernet, Bluetooth
- Webcam: 1.3MP
- Battery: 6 cell, 8 hours (really?)
- Weight: 1.33kg or about 2.9 pounds
- Dimensions: 1.19 cm high, or about .5 inches
