Samsung enters the netbook market

Just when you thought almost every major computer and electronics maker had already jumped on the netbook bandwagon, Samsung goes and throws its hat into the ring. AVING reports that the Samsung netbook will be available in late October and will feature a 9 or 10 inch display and Intel Atom CPU. And honestly, that’s about all I can discern from the article right now. But there are a bunch of pictures if you’re into that sort of thing.

Overall, the keyboard has a nice look to it. The keyboard looks fairly roomy and there’s a full sized right shift key. The trackpad has arrows which seem to indicate that it supports scrolling action. There’s a single large button under the trackpad which I assume has a rocker wheel for left and right clicking.

So now that Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Lenovo, LG, and Samsung have released or will soon release netbooks, who’s next? Toshiba, I’m looking at you.

Nice looking unit… Samsung are one of the unsung heroes in the notebook market. Let's hope that keyboard is as good as the photos suggest.

I'm waiting to see what Toshiba will offer us. And I'll love to know the price of this Samsung netbook.
