Liliputer database updates

  • Email

I just wanted to write a quick note to let you know that I’m continuing to update the Liliputer database. When I launched the Liliputer comparison chart almost a month ago, it contained about 42 netbooks. Today that number is up to 57. And counting.

Recent additions include the Toshiba NB105, the Asus N10, the LG X110, the Fujistu Siemens Amilo Mini, and updated information for the Dell Inspiron Mini 9.

You can always access the Liliputer database by clicking the Liliputer button at the top of this site. And keep an eye on this space. In the coming weeks I hope to roll out some new functionality that will make it even easier to compare netbooks based on price, size, and other specs.

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed, follow us on Twitter, or "like" us on Facebook. Thanks for visiting!

I sent this page to everyone I know….

    57 netbooks.

    Stunning.

And still our northern California media, CNET, REV3 as well as tech columnists n, dont want to talk about netbooks because its a 'fad'. The term netbook if mentioned is usually in done so in derision.

Acer sold 2 million One netbooks this quarter and are expecting to sell 1 million in September. Apple had a record first quarter and sold 1.4 million laptops.

How the eff can the netbook phenomenon be avoided by the american tech press?

Thanks for the update. With this market changing/expanding quickly, you will be kept busy.

    Thanks for the great work.

I'd love to see an extra field listing where I can go see some of these in person. I think, with specs being so similar across the models, it'll come down to in-person look and feel for the decision.

I know I can see the Acer Aspire One at Circuit City, and I think some of them are at Best Buy.

The database is really very useful, thank you. I look forward to the new functionality too!

Shhhh…maybe if the press noise stays low those of us waiting for the Aspire One 6-cells will actually be able to get our hands on one.

This is a great list. the thing that's still missing for me is some kind of sense of which you think are five stars, which you think are one star. If you don't know enough to do ratings, maybe you can enable user comment or thumbs up thumbs down, or a star system on each entry?

also, does anyone besides me think its weird that no stores are carrying more than one of these? I've found it impossible to check these out in stores. annoying. i find myself bugging strangers at conferences.
