Of course getting a restore disk wouldn't help much since it doesn't have an disk drive. Lenovo is known for late shipping and poor customer service. Their products are solid, or I tell them to “feck off.” Also, let it be known– this is a netbook and not suitable for most gaming. Even some o my 15 year old games are too demanding. LOL! Struggling to get the PSX emulation from lagging… Some recommend Ubuntu 8.10 for emulators. Thats better let for another thread. Peace.

Ouch! The ship date on my S10 changed from 9/9/08 to 11/18/08. That's disappointing.

The drivers are also posted and there is a OnekeyRecoveryInstallation.exe that is 326 MB- I wonder if this contains a compressed image?

I saw that comment about the lack of a restore disk previously in the FCC copy of the user manual. What's interesting is that in the IT168.com unboxing photos posted earlier today, we see what looks to be a Windows CD included in the box contents. I wonder if this difference is regional?

I like Asus' approach, which is to provide both a hidden partition for quick restore along with a restore disk in case you wipe out your internal storage device.

Nice thing about running Ubuntu, they'll send you a backup disk even if you haven't bought a computer from them

The S10 looks somehow sturdier than most the netbooks going right now — I wonder if that's just clever aesthetics, or actually the case.
