Advent 4212: Another rebranded ECS G10IL for the UK

Another day, another Advent computer. Last week it was the Advent 4213, a rebranded version of the ECS G10IL. This week it’s the Advent 4212 which is… well, a rebranded G10IL. But the 4212 costs £50 less, at £299.

So what’s the difference? First off, it looks like the 4213 comes with a 3G modem while the 4212 does not. And second, the 4212 has an 8.9 inch display and weighs 1.2kg, while the 4213 has a 10.2 inch display and weighs 1.4kg. Both computers run Windows XP and have 1GB of RAM, but the 4212′s 80GB hard drive is half the size of the hard drive that comes with the Advent 4213.

If the Advent brand name sounds familiar, that’s because the Advent 4211 was one of the first MSI Wind clones to pop up in the UK.

thanks firbird!
