LG has confirmed rumors that it plans to enter the netbook market. The company has announced plans to release a low cost laptop with an Intel Atom CPU and support for 3G Wireless in October.

The LG X110 will be able to connect to the internet in almost every way imaginable. It will haave an Ethernet jack, 802.11b/g (but not n) WiFi support, and a 3G HSPA modem for wireless data connections from mobile phone carriers.

No word on price yet, but the X110 will reportedly have the same 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU and 10 inch 1024 x 600 pixel display that seem to be all the rage in liliputers like the MSI Wind and Eee PC 1000H these days.
