When Lenovo’s product page for the IdeaPad S10 went live the other day, it stated that the computer included x4500 graphics rather than the Mobile Intel 945 950 Express chipset that most notebooks in its class use. But it looks like that was just a typo (or a ploy by Lenovo to trick you into placing a pre-order, if you’re prone to conspiracy theories). Lenovo has updated the page to show that the laptop will indeed ship with Intel 945 950 graphics.
Laptop magazine’s Joanna Stern has confirmed this by checking the device manager on a demo unit. You can see the results for yourself..
thanks Lee Fairbanks!
Update: Despite Joanna’s test results, Lenovo’s web page now says the S10 uses the Intel 950 chipset. Lenovo is also sending out emails to customers who ordered the laptop stating that it does not have x4500 graphics, but instead has the Intel 950 chipset.
