how do you use the live.com discount?

i wonder why some people are paying tax & others are not, does Lenovo have a physical presence in some states?

I picked one up not because I need one (I have 3 other net books…) but because with the LIVE.COM 10% discount plus the current %15 off Lenovo promotion, I picked up this unit with tax shipped for $368 – that's pretty good for a 10″ netbook that looks pretty well built. And the ram looks very easy to upgrade so for $20.00 you can upgrade it to 1GB in minutes.

Nice! I forgot about the live.com discount. But even at $390 with tax, it
was too good a deal for me to pass up. Now I just hope that Dell really does
offer their base model Inspiron 910 for $299 because I really can't afford
to keep plopping down money on computers.

Hmm… no 6-cell batteries. No option to up the RAM or HDD size. No shipping outside of the US. Hopefully all of these issues will be resolved over the next month.

Thanks for keeping us informed. I just ordered mine, but contrary to the other posts here, mine has an estimated ship date of 9/23/2008. Maybe because I ordered as a guest, rather than opening an account? Or did they already sell out of the first allocation?

Price was great with the discount! It makes the wait easier, knowing how much I’m saving over an equivalent EeePC!

Just order mine with a ship date of 9/9. Someone on engadget mentioned that it may come sooner from a customer rep when they called him to confirm order. I didn’t get a call but maybe it’s because I payed with paypal.

I like that in Lenovo’s world black is the less expensive, but in the Apple world it’s black that is the premium.
