MSI Wind to hit Europe for 300 Euros in mid-July

We already knew that the MSI Wind laptop would be available for $399 to $549 in the US this summer. Now it looks like we’re getting some European launch details as well.

MSI says the laptop will be available in mid-July for about 300 Euros. That’s about 100 Euros less than the Asus Eee PC 900, which could make the MSI Wind an attractive proposition — especially since the laptop will pack the new Intel Atom CPU, while the Eee PC 900 has an older Intel Celeron chip.

Europeans will also have a choice between models with an 8.9 inch display or a 10 inch screen while US customers will only be able to get the 10 inch version. The 10 inch version will apparently be labeled the MSI Wind U100, while the smaller version will be known as the U90.
