More topless photos of the Eee PC

  • Email

While these aren’t the first photos of an Eee PC 900 with its hood off that we’ve seen, Bit-Tech managed to take apart their Eee PC, take a look at the insides, and put the whole thing back together again without finding a spare screw!

Yes, the last part is probably the most impressive thing about these photos. For the most part, the Eee PC 900 looks just like an Eee PC 701 when you look at its guts. The speakers have moved from the display to the main body, and the PCIe slot is now used by an 8GB or 16GB SSD module, which means you can’t use it to expand the storage yourself (unless you happen to have an even larger SSD lying around).

Err, “unless you happen to have an even larger ASUS proprietary SSD lying aroung”?
Do you know of anyone in the world using a third party SSD in an Eee?
