Hehe, no problem. I admit it's a little weird relying on a 3rd party JS addon for my comments system. But I didn't feel like switching from Blogger to WordPress with the new site and Disqus offers a ton of useful features no matter what blogging platform you're using. I think it makes the page load a split second slower, but I love the threaded comments and the top commenters/posts widget.

I think I figured out what was going on with the comments. You should be able to see how many new comments there are on the front page now, and you should be able to leave comments without going to the Disqus page. Let me know if you're still having any problems.

That's odd, it shows the number of comments for mosts posts on the front page, but not this one.

What I really don't like about the old comments section is that you had to click to a whole new page to see the comments. This way you can leave comments on the same page as the post without leaving the site. If other users don't like this new system though, there's another one I might try before going back to the old fashioned comments.

hate the new comment system. the front page no longer shows how many comments there are on a particular story and now you have to click twice from the front page to see the comments. yuck!

we're going to need a bigger bandwagon! :-)

what with the;
cloudbook
dells whatever it's going to be called
eee pc
elonex one
fukato
hp 2133
jisus
olpc
tangox

the more the merrier but haven't people been asking for small cut down laptops for years and it's only that the olpc got pushed through that started the ball rolling. of course years ago there was the omni book 300 but over the years hp kept making it bigger with more features till it was no different from any other laptop.

the insane sucess of the eee has got a lot of manufacturers now creating their take on small and cheap. hopefully all this competition will create new devices/concepts instead of the bland static laptop market. if i had one feature it would be a much longer battery life. 3 hours isn't even close to what i would like. i'll have to hunt down an extended battery for my eee. the olpc has a better battery life but was unavailable in ireland. damn!

the fukato looks interesting. the 20gb hd is nice. linux is welcome. i would have thought that the slower 500mhz processor would have given a better battery life. still if anything happened to my eee i might look at this instead of a eee 900. maybe.
