The Airis Kira 100 is a new low-cost ultraportable that should look familiar. The computer is based on the same reference design as the Nohrtec Gecko. There are only two major differences: the name, and the color scheme. The Kira 100 comes in a variety of bright and mildly unattractive colors. Here’s a refresher on the specs:

  • 7 inch 800 x 480 pixel display
  • 1GHz VIA C7 Mobile processor
  • VGA output, 802.11b/g WiFi, Ethernet, 56 Kbps modem,
  • SD/MMC/MS/CF card reader
  • Webcam
  • 4 hour battery
  • Linpus Linux Lite operating system
  • Weight: 1 kilogram, Dimensions: 243 x 172 x 29 mm
  • Prices starting at 299 Euros
