Chinese smartphone maker Oppo plans to launch its latest high-end phone this month. The Oppo Find 7 is expected to come in two versions, one with a 2560 x 1440 pixel display and another with a plain old 1920 x 1080 pixel screen. And there’s evidence at least one version of the phone could have a 50MP camera.
Oppo doens’t plan to actually unveil the phone until March 19th. But pictures of the phone, along with some specs, showed up at the Red Dot Design award website recently.
The photos show a phone that reportedly has a 5.5 inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel display and a 13MP camera. Either that means you can kiss your 50MP smartphone camera goodbye… or that Oppo may offer multiple models of the phone.
The handset has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and support TD-LTE 4G wireless networks.
According to the Red Dot description, the phone has a metal frame and the “glass and the frame will become seamless,” and there’s a “crescent-shaped” LED notification light built into the bottom of the phone, so the whole bottom glows Firefly-style instead of just a small circle.
“Plain old” 1920 x 1080 5.5″ screen. Lol
that was sooooooooooo 2013 duhh
but in all seriousness, anything beyond 1080p is kinda pointless.
This is nice! I’d buy this! …. 5.5″ @ 2k? Never mind
Being on Verizon, I might as well not get my hopes up of ever getting this phone.
Love living in China 🙂 Oppo will take over the big dogs soon. Their build quality is just ridiculous for such a new company to this market.
Hey yeah i think oppo will gain more popularity in usa & other countrys soon. Btw oppo’s parent company bbk have been around since 1998, there massive in china. Bbk also own vivo who have just released vivo xplay 3s worlds first 2k phone, and is major investor to new OnePlus brand. Oppo is already 2nd most profitable phone maker in china.
uh you can see the bezels already
I think he meant the side bezels of the screen
Nice looking device, curious to see the bezels.
If this is true and T-Mobile supports the phone I will get one
Wait until you see the price.
